I have just subscribed to this site. My account page says at the bottom, "You are not subscriber of Linux knowledge base and Tutorial." I am hoping that there should be a "w" in there rather than a "t".
Anyway, it's all working!
It took me a while to figure out where that is coming from. Interestingly enough it is not a typo. The version of PHPNuke I use allows for two levels of members. One is when you simply register and the other is where you pay, perhaps to gain access to different features or areas of the site. To gain access you "subscribe".
Currently we do not have a subscription service, so the message is actually superfluous, even if it is accurate. We have been considering implementing a number of features to include as part of the subscription, but that is still a ways off.
There seems to a bit more than meets the eye. At the bottom of the post is something written using the same background color as the foreground, essentially making it invisible. Probably there to provide a link to another site to boost their search engine rankings. To see it, press Ctrl-A to select the entire page.
So you are OK with this?
Not really. I removed the actually link from the message, so they won't get any benefit from it. I then changed the account so their email address no longer works and changed the password. The account is essentially dead, but we can still see the message. This site is about learning and I think this is a good lesson about what can be done.

jimmo EDIT: Somewhat ironic that this spammer used this particular page. (along wih 2 others) Originally the post contained links to a WoW Gold site. Note the text here and in the other posts was simply cut-n-paste from previous post on the same page. This method is new to me, but I am not surprised by it. _________________ 25leeyn@gmail.com
